Air NZ website says " All passengers on the booking will earn Airpoints Dollars and Status Points at 20% of the standard earn rates that apply to Air New Zealand and partner airline earn rates" so that means 20% of the full amount even if you pay 90% with APD and 10% cash?
Would there be any dangerous downside to booking outbound and return legs separately, one cash one APD (would be departing one day and returning the next)?
Thanks
1. Yes, only 20% mileage earn irrespective of the proportion of $AP used. So poor value for frequent flyers IMHO.
2. Nothing 'dangerous'. Other than earning no SP/$AP on the redemption/award $AP flight. Assume domestic? Not that it matters.
