I'm up to 48 nights this year, and may have used the lounge access I took last year once (stayed at an IC, was put on a club floor, but my card didn't work with the lounge so got access put on by the front desk. Never mentioned my lounge pass).
(Mostly HIX stays, a few CPs (no lounges), an Indigo and an IC).

Got 2 x suite upgrades that I'll probably not use, or if I do, I may not know if they've actually given me anything or if diamond / Ambassador gave me that room anyway.

Food and beverage doesn't bother me too much. Most stays I have involve later arrivals and early departures, so sleep is more important.

Overnights at airports don't require anything too fancy, so there's no point paying top dollar for a 5* hotel I'll get zero benefit from when a HIX is a clean bed / shower.

Points have some use for me, so I'll take them more often than not.
