It seems to me you are asking us to affirm your preferences. Cheap, or convenient, or quick, or new adventure. No alternative checks all the boxes. Cheap and convenient would be second class train ride. A quick new adventure is a flight from LCY. Nothing is quick, cheap and convenient. These days I lean towards convenient new adventures, and would choose the First class train ride, and enjoy some time in downtown Edinburgh.
