Thanks, folks, for the help yesterday and the day before. My mom’s flight to SFO didn’t land in time for her to make the AS leg from SFO-GEG. And by the time she was able to get to a desk agent, the UA nonstop operating that route had sold out. She ended up flying SFO-SEA-GEG and arrived just after midnight, exhausted but happy to have not needed a second overnight airport stay.
Hopefully when she claims her EC261 compensation for the delay she will be happier still. £520 per person, see the main EC261 thread, get her to use a Canadian bank account if she has one.
