Question: Is it possible to get a direct US-DOH flight with miles at this point?
We have been booking QR award flights for trips once or twice a year for several years. We've usually gone direct to DOH from ORD, DFW or MIA but I always check most of their US origination airports as I have to connect no matter what.
I've been watching flight availability for a few months now in prep for booking a trip to Indonesia with miles and I have seen no direct US>DOH availability at around 330 days or anything close to that. (JL connections are horrible with tight airport transfer and higher mile redemption)
Is availability on the directs now generally only last minute? Is it there at all?
Is there a new "sweet spot" for find these direct flights with miles?
