They have now ascertained that the second leg fron PHL-BNA is not booked in domestic First even though they were on a cash fare in J LHR-BNA.
Notwithstanding the possibility of a more complex claim for compensation, is there anything they can do at this stage to get that changed. They are still at LHR waiting to fly and were not told of the downgrade by BA (I prompted them to ask).
