We have an upcoming stay at the Conrad Seoul. Booked via points and currently in a King Deluxe. We are Hilton Diamond. Celebrating a big birthday milestone, so I've already emailed the hotel asking if there were any way they could make it special.

We got an automated email from the hotel offering an upgrade to a King Premium Riverview for $22 per night.

Two questions:

1.) Is it very likely we would be upgraded to the King Premium Riverview without paying for this upgrade?

2.) Would paying for this upgrade in any way give us the possibility of a better upgrade? (Like a suite?) I've of course read on this thread that the hotel is quite stingy with suite upgrades.
