One thing that will really suck and be really annoying is trying to strategize on when and where to use one’s 10 visits. I almost certainly wouldn’t waste them on a short visit at an outstation when I have ~20 min before boarding, especially at outstation clubs that have more limited amenities (but also, club crowding at these clubs is rarely an issue). But if I have 1 hour at ATL, does that justify using one of my visits? Especially if it’s January or February? I may be more inclined to think “we’ll let me save this visit for a better use later in the year”. But let’s say I don’t and then come later in the year I realize I have more visits left than trips. Then I’ve wasted those visits because I’m assuming any unused SC visits don’t rollover.


I’ll also add in that I’m a bit surprised that DL didn’t implement something like “10 visits per year if in Main/C+ but if in paid PS or FC, you can visit the SC with your Reserve without burning one of your 10 annual visits” in an effort to further monetize premium cabin upfares and buy-ups (the limit of 10 visits if in Y would still suck, particularly for frequent business travelers who can only fly in Y).
