Passed through BKK immigration a few weeks ago, problem with Fast-track is that it is also open to "families" so there were groups of Chinese & Korean families with kids ages 2-17 clogging up the fast-track lane. I ended up clearing immigration way after my bags had been delivered to the belt and certainly way later than people who had used the general queue.
i generally take a peek at the general immigration to see if the lines are short if they are I just go there. At ay arrival times they are often emptyish anyways
