Earlier this week we were queued for boarding. I think we had a dedicated zone 1 line but cannot remember. GA made the announcement for boarding, noting we will be starting with zone 1 now. Immediately a man with his wife behind him makes a bee line for the gate, bypassing all of us in the line (there was space to the left to get by). What did he think we were all lined up for??? I think the GA said something to him as he suddenly seemed to look back and survey the line. People are funny.
People are mostly oblivious and generally self-absorbed...throw in an i-phone and they are totally dis-connected from what's happening around them...they hear 'boarding' and since they are planning to board, off they go, marching towards their destination...many whom, I'm sure, are convinced they are late because they were so busy looking at said i-phone lol
