OT - but do you know when AA closed the RDU-I FA base? I recently had an amazing FA on DCA-DFW. It helped that another FA helped her do the dinner service on a 20F 321 (when I've been on this equipment in the past, seems that the F FA more often than not does most of the dinner service by him/herself).

I was a little embarrassed when I assumed, based on the excellent, attentive, friendly service that the FA was pmUS. Nope. She was pmAA dating all the way back to the RDU-I base.

Which brings up another OT question: is the service standard as taught at GSW for a Y FA to assist in F on the 321 or is it really expected that one FA should do the whole service?

I've posted before that there was a time when AA catered thin gruel ("just add water"!) and shelf stable crackers as the F dinner on flights out of LIH while UA procured actual meals.

AA's company li(n)e: "there's no catering at LIH"
Reality: there's catering at LIH if you're willing to write a check as indicated by UA's contract with a local restaurant to cater fresh food on UA departures from LIH.
