It's a decent midtown location, literally dozens of hotels have similarly convenient midtown locations. It's not located right on the park, and I would tend to agree with jbandy 10's comment that there's nothing otherwise special about the location.
It's 3 blocks from Central Park! In any event there are tons of bashers of this hotel here. Do yourself a favor and read some of the Google reviews too. If it's your first stay at this property, I think your going to enjoy yourself.
