Same here. Been thru 2 passports with only TTP update and NEXUS working just fine in both directions both by air and land. The last passport shown to CBSA at an enrollment centre expired >5 years ago (one of the two subsequent passports I had was a 1 year emergency passport).
Seems to me CBSA enrollment centre could be telling the truth
they don't get TTP updates but it doesn't necessary mean CBSA primary/secondary don't get those updates from TTP. They could be using two different CBSA systems.
