I’m guessing that these guys won’t be clogging the lounge at the 500€ a night Paris Le Grand or the £400 London Park Lane on a regular basis.

Are lounges more busy this year than others? Often at London Park Lane I am alone! (and loving it!)
I am someone who will achieve 40 nights this year with about 30 nights at HIX and HI properties, mainly because of a limited personal travel budget. With the lounge pass next year I will definitely be trying out higher end ICs, but as you say not on a regular basis. However, IMO it is a win for IHG as I definitely feel more locked in to the brand.

I do, however, have sympathy for Irons80's situation. I guess IHG didn't want to overcomplicate the Milestone Rewards by having different qualification criteria (as they do for Elite status qualification). Perhaps there will be tweaks to the programme in the future.
