Well, it's only $25 if you purchase the transponder upstate.

But if the only tolls which you will encounter are those on the Thruway from Albany to NYC, then you're right -- unless you just want to hold onto your E-Z Pass transponder for your next trip to the Eastern U.S. or Midwest.

Will you be crossing any toll facilities within NYC also?
