The world’s best hotel is an - admittedly beautiful - hotel that has been open for barely a year, and in that year has given free nights and goodies to every travel agent, travel journalist and influencer they could find. It seems that’s all it takes to win such a title.

Lots of chains and big brands. Most true gems are missing entirely. This was not decided by people who have true luxury hotel knowledge, simple as that.
