Has anyone else noticed this change - on the website I can only see mention of free seat selection for Executive Club members?
When making the booking you can enter your FF number. You will then be offered to select seats but unless you are a BA status holder you will be asked to pay for seats at this stage.

Once you make the booking, pay and get the BA PNR you should be able to go i to manage my booking on the BA website and assign seats for free
