To me it looks like they are not baked in at all, they are just eliminated.
Perhaps I'm looking at it wrong but lets take a 1,000 mile KL J segment as an example:
This 1,000 mile segment in 2023 earns:
1,000 base miles + 1,000 class bonus for J + 1,200 medallion bonus for DM (120% of base) = 3,200 miles
In 2024, this same segment earns:
1,000 base miles + 1,000 class bonus + 0 medallion bonus = 2,000 miles (-37.5%)
Really hope I'm wrong here, but... (it also makes it very clear that DL wants you to book their metal, not unlike UA, although not nearly as restrictive as UA)
