Burned an Amex FNA for one-night stay. Cash rates were running around $500/night (and were high throughout central Boston), so more than covered the Aspire AF right there.

Used online check-in. At first, only rooms at the back of the hotel were showing available, but after a few hours, also showed rooms available on the front with a view of the greenway towards the north end. Picked one of those (348), but ultimately Nor1 cleared into a view corner ($53) . The room was good sized, but oddly shaped, with much of the space taken up by a mostly unusable entryway. Did appreciate the excellent separation from the hallway. Overall, room was very comfortable, with lots of windows and light. Traffic noise was muted. There was a Nespresso machine with six capsules and they brought up an electric kettle on request. One of the bath towels had holes in it.

Staff was pleasant. Nice lobby with lots of seating plus another seating area on the second floor adjacent to the restaurant. Used the $36 credit towards breakfast, which was fine though unremarkable.

Good location, with easy proximity to the north end and the waterfront and a reasonable walk to the common, public garden, beacon hill, and even back bay. (Note though that getting to Logan by Lyft required a 15 minute circle back around government center to travel literally two blocks backwards on John F. Fitzergald to access the tunnel.)

Overall a good stay and I would return.

Based on the photo with the daybed adjacent to the window, you received a Premium room, which is indeed an upgrade. The base rooms have only a chair.
