I had to make an unplanned detour to the home country and needed a one way EDI to LHR on a Sunday in early October to pick up my DL return. Only B or Y fares at the times I wanted but for £100 more or so I could get a return to NYC (my final destination and picking a far out return date). For some reason as a Sale long haul fare K became available and I’ll get protection on one ticket.
I say this often but thank goodness for the tricks I have learned here. But with £215 of real taxes I’m really surprised they can do TATL return for -£411. Are they having problems finding volunteers to the ballast in the back to offset the wealthy leisure travellers clogging up the lounge?
