I didn't know what AirFly is when crackjack mentioned it above, so I looked it up. It seems like if it works, it would be the better option although it does add weight and another device that needs charging. But with the BT transmitter, it would work with any BT earbuds and you don't have to be stuck with 1 or 2 options when you probably don't even like the sound or the brand. Personally, I have 1 pair of cheap plug in earbuds (given free by airlines) in my travel backpack all the time. They take up no space and weight nothing at all and does the job when watching TV or movies in flight. The hardest part is to untangle the cord because it was rolled up in a ball in a hurry from last use.
