It seems the Indigo doesn't have a resort fee. If you factor in the $80/nt resort fee of the Kimpton, it's the equivalent of 16,000pts at half a cent each. Perhaps apples to apples then, the points comparison is:
86k Kimpton to 63k Hotel Indigo. I actually think the current structure is ideal for the Kimpton because we know there are many in the point community who just WILL NOT pay the $80/nt resort fee. Those people will stay at the Hotel Indigo. But they may dine at the Kimpton. I think it helps bring in food and beverage revenue for the Kimpton while also curating the kind of hotel guest they prefer.
I am looking forward to more food and beverage options once the Hotel Indigo opens.
