My sense is when you arrive at this "rooftop hotel" you are transported into a different place - a haven away from the hustle & bustle down on the ground level. You leave the city behind - as much as realistically possible. Sure, you can see the city from the rooftop pool or your room - but it's like a world apart.

So you take an elevator to a floor 1-5 stories below...so what. It's quick and easy and feels like part of the experience.

The elevator from the ground floor to 41st floor - takes 1 minute, not 3 as someone else stated.

If you arrive by car/taxi - you have two elevator rides. Hotel has free shuttle (Really they just pay a taxi/grab driver) to a few local places...including mid-valley mall.

The rooftop pool is awesome...apparently...many dozens of KL hotels have one. Even the lowly IBIS.
I too enjoy this hotel and I usually choose to stay here. I used to stay at the Aloft. I did not know there was a free shuttle service.
