I’ve got a 10-hour layover coming up on a trip with a couple of friends, and we’re considering exploring different lounges during our downtime. We have no status.
Our itinerary is as follows:
- 1 Dec : Flying from ADL to DOH in business class (booked with award points)
10-hour layover in DOH
- 2 Dec : Flying from DOH to CAI in economy class (purchased with cash)
From what I understand, on
OW rules: we should be able to access the following lounges:
- Premium Arrival Lounge
- Qatar Airways Platinum & Gold Lounge North
- Qatar Airways Platinum Lounge - South
- Qatar Airways Gold Lounge - South
- Qatar Airways Silver Lounge - South
I also understand that because both flights are on separate booking references, we might need to do a little convincing at the lounges by showing our previous business class boarding pass.
Can anyone confirm if this is accurate? Thanks in advance for any insights you can offer!

No for Al Mourjan, if your DOH-AUH flight departs the following calendar day after 6am but you could use the status lounges based on your status at that time.
