First time I hear about the QR code app/rental car linkup. How does that work? I always used the key card, and yes, it really “downgrades” the standard Tesla experience with the app (or key fob, for those who have one). Many times I walked away from my rental, only to have to run back to have to lock it.

Really? I must have missed that settings update in the the release notes. The animation, while cool in the beginning, is a bit of a distraction and certainly a huge waste of screen real estate. One of my early gripes about my Tesla.
