I'm on my way to the Baltic for work and play next month. I may want to rent a car in TLL and return in VNO or vice-versa. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has wanted to do this. At the very least it was a question raised in this forum in a posting 17+ years ago, and no one has addressed it since: One-way Baltic car rental

After quite a bit of deep googling, I've turned up very little about one way car rental in the Baltic States. There are other people with this same question, but it seems no one has answers.

A one way is possible for anyone to do through any of the major franchises, but expect to pay substantially more, at least 50% more. I made a dummy listing with Europcar and Avis and found that while possible it was laughably expensive. Surely some rental car company local to the Baltic has figured this out?

Of course one could rent in Riga, and make a figure 8 through the Baltic to avoid these charges, but that may involve quite a bit of backtracking.

Has anyone found any success? When this is all over I'll update the posting. Thanks.
