More of a rant than anything. 1630 hours this date.

Departing C17 this evening. Not a single seat at the C16 lounge. Guests were paired up in the desk cubby area. I walked down to the C7 Club.

Not much better. Crowded. Food picked over and as soon a refresher came out, it was gone fast. I stood at one end of the bar, ordered my drink. Bartender walked it to the other end of the bar, raised it, and indicated that I should walk down there to get it. (Not a big deal.) UA staff (I think - as they had UA name tags and uniform (vs. lounge operator staff UA Club badges)) were bussing. All I had was some snack mix. I am fairly adept at serving myself snack mix and had a guy behind me sighing and not too pleasant of a look at me when I turned around.

I can't remember the last time I saw IAD and the lounges this busy. (I don't travel in the summer time.) Busy is a good thing though.

I can't imagine what UA would do if it renovated a IAD location.

I should have stayed at the Capital One and LH lounges (both had good food).
