Navigating Roma Termini: Is a 15-minute Transfer Time Sufficient?

Hello everyone,

I'm planning a trip and am trying to reserve a train ticket online from FCO to Florence. The itinerary includes a train change at Roma Termini. I've been given a 15-minute transfer time to switch trains. While I've traveled quite a bit, I'm unfamiliar with the Roma Termini station and its layout.
  1. For those who've been to Roma Termini, how easy is it to navigate? Is the signage clear for non-Italian speakers?
  2. Considering the size and busyness of the station, is a 15-minute window realistically enough to get from one train to another?
  3. If my first train is delayed and I miss the connecting train, what are my options? Do the train operators usually accommodate passengers in such scenarios?
Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
