Escort took me all the way to the immigration desk, then demonstratively stepped out of hearing range during discussion with the officer. I was asked if there was luggage to grab but was flying HBO so no idea if they would have picked it/escorted me to it too. There was frantic texting when I said "no checked-in luggage", and I even got surprised it triggered such a reaction at the time.
