There is nothing in the Ambassador T&Cs that say that the one category upgrade must be to a room with the same bedding configuration, just that you are guaranteed a one category upgrade. It will come down to the attitude of the hotel - they may offer the suite, but equally they may offer a one category upgrade to a twin bedded room. If you turn that down they may then refuse to give you the 10K points on the basis they have offered an upgrade. In that case I would contact the Ambassador people as they will probably give you the 10K points even though you are perhaps not entitled to them.
