I discovered this because I went to go remove the eUps to use them on a red-eye where I value the lie flat more.

So, a couple questions:
-What would actually happen if I went to remove my eUps? Would I end up seated in Y on a PE fare?
-Do I have recourse to call in and get moved to a widebody flight in J? (without getting my eUps back of course) There are 4 (!) widebody YYZ-YVR flights departing in the 2 hours following my flight and they all show plenty of J and R space, though the cost is ~15k pp higher than I paid orginally. (Else I would just change flights)
-If the answer to the first question is "yes", would a better way of approaching it be to remove my eUps, get downgraded to Y seats, and only then call in to have them move me to one of the widebody flights? At which point I could use my eUps again if desired.
