That is correct. There are no Chase Ultimate Rewards (UR) earned on co-branded cards, only those within the Chase UR ecosystem. For more information about that, please see the FlyerTalk Chase forum, under "Credit, Debit and Prepaid Card Programs".

Hello all
Does anyone know if one earns AA miles on a stay, do the nights still count towards elite nights with Bonvoy? I know you do not earn points if you select .

Yes, one does receive
Elite Qualifying Nights (EQN) for those stays. For about a decade, Marriott was my (distant) third hotel chain, after Hilton and Starwood, so I credited miles to UA. Then, for five years I worked with an employer for whom Marriott was the preferred lodging provider, so I switched to receiving their points vice UA miles.
I had earned EQN for all the stays I selected UA miles, and went on to obtain lifetime Marriott
BONV°Y™ Platinum Elite status.
