How is the FAA allowing that? I'd imagine the brake temp issue would be way more significant in some of the South / Southwest than in Canada.
Both the NG and Max have pretty high landing speeds because of being under winged (800/900/M8 and 9) and also because they have double slotted flaps. The reason the FAA doesn't care is because the original 737 was designed without that system and it's optional equipment under the grandfather clause. If you can't see it, it doesn't exist.

I thought the issues with the GTF are more prominent in places with greater degrees of pollution (India/China). Is AC have dispatch issues with the A220?
Considering 4 are parked without engines and a few tails keep bouncing back and forth between YMX and YUL... The PW1000 keeps presenting issues. I was in DFW a while ago; the amount of Spirit NEOs without engines was quite impressive.
