BA goes by Timatic and that confirms the 3 months requirement. So I don't expect you would have an issue here.

I see where the USA embassy is coming from, it is the case that some airlines get a bit twitchy when you are down to the final 6 months, but BA isn't one of these airlines, partly because the UK itself doesn't have these date rules for those entering.
