.- Didn't know anything about a QR code app link up, so ended up using the key card each time to both unlock and start the car which was a major downgrade from a standard proximity key.
- The glove box was inaccessible, locked with a PIN code presumably from a previous renter. The gate agent didn't know anything about how to remove the PIN so I was stuck without glove box access.
- At the end of the rental I was hit with the $35 recharge fee, which was incorrect because I used a supercharger to recharge back to full battery. However, the Supercharger fees have not posted to my credit card, so it about evens out the cost.
- Driving the car in some ways felt worse than other EVs, I'm not a fan of forced one-pedal driving. I'd rather be able to coast. No wonder the majority of Teslas I see on the roads exhibit erratic braking/brake light behavior.
- Controlling all of the car's functions via the touchscreen took a lot of getting used to, but once mastered became easy to use.
- However, the UI itself could be designed better, there is simply a lot going on within the screen at any given time. I'd like to see visual distractions reduced, such as the removal of the live traffic visualization (what's the point?).
- While native Apple Music integration was slick (QR Code link-up), I found myself missing the experience that CarPlay offers. Tesla's navigation experience was half-baked compared to Waze where you can view and create roadside alerts.
- A couple of privacy concerns - digging through the menus, dashcam footage from the past few months of previous renter's drives were visible for viewing. Destinations (POIs, addresses) from previous renters were visible as well. A "guest" mode that clears personal data between rentals would be great to have.
As I understand it, the glove boxes are all locked because there's a USB drive in there for the dashcam
