I'm planning a surprise weekend in Rockies for my Wife. I've got some SNUs to use with Platinum status and I'm trying to figure out what would be the best value for a few nights in November. How are the Lakeview One Bedroom Suites at CLL looking these days? Would I be better off with a Gold Lakeview King instead and bank the SNUs? Thanks for the help.
The One Bedroom Lakeview is reasonably good SNU value, but they are due to be renovated this fall. If you're planning to go really soon, it could be looking tired. If you're going in the new year, then it might be beautiful and new.
For a November trip, I wouldn't waste the SNU. Partly because the suite won't likely be updated yet, and partly because you're visiting at the deadest and cheapest time of the year. I'd just book one of the promo rates and save the SNUs for something else or for another date next year.
