Moving on to part
B of this three-parter, it's already been established that the same airline delayed my originally booked flight out of STL across three different decades!

It’s on yet a different airline, but the counter agent is able to keep you in F on both legs, and the two-hour connection gives you time for a drink or two in the lounge.
As usual, we’re seeking the airline, aircraft types, and connecting point for both the originally-booked and the as-flown itineraries.
Since NW is the carrier, I will guess that the delayed 1989 routing I did not take was:
NW D95 STL-MSP
connecting to NW 757 MSP-GTF-BZN
And that instead I flew:
DL 72S STL-SLC
DL 733 SLC-BZN
