I asked explicitly for it to be a spare Skycouch row otherwise we wouldn't bother purchasing the Twin Seat and they made it work.
Wow.. Good to know 😍
Did they charge for you for this twin seat?
If so.. How much? I actually just looked it up.. It's $120 per person per segment. I wonder how this works.. Since technically my hubby is on a separate reservation. Can I just tell them I'm traveling by myself and want to pay the $120 for my twin seat?
Like how would this work for a solo traveler anyways? Since if they get a blocked seat next to them and the other person one seat over would also get the extra space whether or not they paid for the twin seat? (unless you're in a row with only two seats)
Since we're in a skycouch row now.. That would be AWESOME if this twin seat strategy would work😍😍
We take a couple of international trips each year.. Usually on miles and in Business Class. This trip to Auckland is one of our most expensive yet... The miles they are asking for was 250k miles per person ONE WAY.. vs the 89K that we usually pay. Amd we also had a $2k bump voucher from United which is the main reason we decided on this trip.
As a result of that too, we had to get ticketed on United 016 ticket stock on a codewhare flight number... Which, unbeknownst to me, makes us ineligible to bid for any OneUp upgrades to Premium Economy or Business Premier.
Either way, we'll see how it goes. I'd rather not pay more fees at this point but paying $120 to get a skycouch row to ourselves.. Is totally worth it 😍😍😍.
Thanks again for your reply 😊
