Can certainly concur with what others are finding here as regards poor redemption availability - at least where J class seats are concerned.

For flights originating from many (perhaps even all ?) European points into Doha, and then also connections beyond, within Middle East & Asia, the x 2 avios requirement looks to have become very much the default rather than (as used to be) the exception. All the more surprising given that November (which I’ve been focused on) is not a peak demand month for that sort of travel.

Assuming not a glitch (unlikely it seems), this really is a most unwelcome - and very sudden - tactic on the part of QR.
