So, as I understand it, 20 MQM's will roll over to 1 MQD. After deducting 75k for platinum status in 2024, I will have at least 230,000 MQM to convert which would be 11,500 MQD. That would leave me 6,500 MQD from Plat.

I am about 130K miles away from two million miler which gives me lifetime Gold.

I will be Plat in 2024. 2025 will likely be my last year as a Plat due to the MQD rollover. Unlikely to ever reach 18,000 MQD.

Delta wants us to rent cars and make hotel reservations through Delta. I noticed that Delta's rates are higher than elsewhere. Also, the rental car insurance benefit on Amex is secondary, not primary (unlike the comparable Chase Visa product).

With Sky Cub status being eviscerated in 2025 and 18,000 MQD unrealistic, is there any valid reason for me to shell out for the Reserve card (and the additional one for my wife), especially as I will by the end of 2024 likely be a two million miler lifetime Gold?

Ironically, in my case, there will no more incentive for me to be "loyal: to Delta which will free me to look for the best flight deals from anywhere. Or maybe join the Flying Blue program from KLM?
