I called today to convert my no annual fee Sapphire, and was told my only Freedom choices were Freedom Unlimited or Freedom Flex.
I haven't seen any recent data points about this product change to the classic Freedom. I think the old Freedom Visa is now called "Freedom with Ultimate Rewards". Maybe give this particular phrase a try?
