Quinoa or Cous Cous (I forget which this was) but I loved it

Quite a nutty spread of toppings

A lot of yogurts, which I never got around to tasting

Breads of all sizes, shapes and sugar content

Muesli constituents

I loved this pudding as well

View from the back of the tram

Tram hospital

Never thought much about intersecting tram lines

We were getting close to Schloss Schonbrunn

Canal for water; don't know the use of this, as this definitely didn't appear to be sewer water - any ideas?

Flowers in the garden near the castle

Statues ...

... in different poses

Not sure if this housed a fountain, but none was in operation here

View of the castle from the top of (and behind) that structure

The structure with the restaurant on the little hill

View of the castle from halfway up the hill

Statues near the restaurant

Building looks quite big when viewed from up close

Another close-up view

Looking back at Schloss Schonbrunn

These avenues reminded me of similar ones at Versailles, which had way taller trees, if I recall correctly

More views of the gardens as we walked back

More statues and tree lined avenues

Wide angle of the garden

Statue in a different pose

Little garden right behind the palace - right ...

... and left

Some folks got carted around :-)

My railfanning spot near the castle - these trains were quite frequent, like one every five minutes or so

Traffic outside the castle gates (some of the cars are parked)

A view of the inside of the tram

The passing cityscape from the tram

This little old (abandoned?) church is near Westbahnhof

We got a few goodies from here

.... it was supposedly one of the better chains. We didn't have time to visit the top ones

Inside the St Stephen's Cathedral

More views of the cathedral from the inside ...

... and the outside

The long walk from the subway station (Sudtiroler Platz) to Wien Hauptbahnhof

The place we stayed at the first night - would have been a railfan's delight had we got an upper floor room facing the train station *shrug*

Loved the unique shape of some of these buildings - an architect's delight?

My to go lunch from this Indian fusion food place - Chutney's - was not bad at all. Here we have some fried rice with palak paneer (spinach and Indian milk based "tofu") topped with some yogurt and chillies (for extra spice, as desired)

The Austrian countryside rolls by as our train departs from Vienna towards Leoben

Some of the views are reminiscent of Switzerland, which is not too far-fetched a thought, given that Switzerland is the neighbouring country to the west (I firmly believe that the primary difference in the two countries - as far as natural beauty is concerned - is that the Swiss are better salespeople)

Beautiful little town ...

... as we chug along...

... until we reached the full stop that was Bischofshofen

Some other passengers from our train (or the train before) "commandeering" a van to get to their destination post haste!

And we are finally at Salzburg Hauptbahnhof!!
