I have gotten use out of Priority Pass and even Plaza Premium outside the US. But this will cause me to drop at least one family member's card. Then I will wait 2 more years for another VX signup bonus. In the meantime we can pick up a bonus on the regular Venture, alternating Venture and VX every 2 years.

Edit: If your family member only wants Priority Pass, then adding the family member as an authorized user on your VX is the simplest. Unless you want that family member to earn a sign-up bonus for Venture.
