I have always found them to be accurate. However some hotels don’t categorize themselves as a hotel or travel under the merchant category and those won’t get the bonus miles. I would check your statement to ensure they are categorized under the appropriate merchant code. If they are not there is little you can do as Chase goes by the merchant code and that is determined by the vendor,
