Whether you want to have a layover and stay there is of course up to you and whether you want to see the city and/or whether you might prefer to spend your time in a hotel. You can be in the city center in 30 minutes via Airport Express.

I know there may be ways you can contact the airline and ask them to combine your tickets as well if you would just prefer the smooth connection.

Are there any places in HKG airport to store luggage during a transit like this? (lockers, etc).
