Given that there was talk of reciprocal earn/burn privileges way back in October 2012 when AFKL and EY first started codesharing, and given that it has taken almost 11 years to take the next step in what was then hailed as "the first phase of a much larger strategic partnership", I wouldn't take the statement that the new MoU "proposes the ability for frequent flyers of both Flying Blue and Etihad Guest to earn and redeem miles with Air France, KLM, and Etihad" will actually mean anything changes on this front in time for any flights in 2024 (though I, for one, will be very pleased if I am proved wrong here).
I second that, don’t bother with AF to TUN, just take the cheapest option to position. You’ll have a long journey in J to indulge. Make sure you book through Saudia sometimes they cancel flights and they’re rather generous in rebooking so you might be able to rebook direct to LHR.

We’re getting seriously off topic here but I’ll it’s a very different situation this time. AF was bleeding money and EY was growing like crazy and expanding its partner network. The balance of power wasn’t the same. AF also had a lot of management changes, so has EY until the growth hit a brick wall.
AF’s current management has a more consistent vision, a very clear stated goal to monetize flyingblue more. EY looking probably looking for partners to cozy up with now that growth is back, albeit more reasonably paced.
They’d be more equal partners in a close agreement.
