Very easy - change the name under the applicable national laws, so that the person can get a new passport with a new name that matches the ticket.
The fact that the person will have to spend another 3 months painfully dealing with every other type of institution to reflect the change in name is, of course, a minor inconvenience, if it means they can fly on the Avios ticket.
