Is that a China Eastern Airlines (MU) flight number on a XiamenAir (MF) operated flight? Or is that an airline code typo for a Shanghai Airlines (FM) operated flight? Just to make sure.
Saudia from TUN via JED and back again just seems like a risky headache and when I searched their transits are always very long. Pre-covid, I've flown with XiamenAir via XMN on two trips and it was a good price and transit in XMN was always easy and quiet. Unfortunately, those tickets will never happen again.
Sorry, you’re right that was a typo for FM (Shanghai airlines).
SV is impractical in a few regards but I know many who have gone down that route and were overall satisfied (albeit unimpressed by the ground experience in TUN which isn’t really SV’s doing).
Xiamen is ok and they’ve always surprised me with their super discounted fares every once in a while. Perfectly adequate for sure. Otherwise there just aren’t that many options for Skyteam on that axis.
MU, MF and VN on the Asian side. AF, KL on the European side. SV in between.
