This is why I like remaining programs which are still distance based.
I can’t say I blame them. AA has done it with I’m sure success. UA is going in that direction as well in all likelihood. They have a hybrid approach now and are supposed to tweak it further.
So of the big 3 domestic that leaves delta. If you’re in management why do you care if your revenue comes from cobranded cc spend vs airline tickets especially since your competitors are doing the same
I am sure this has been accelerated by the lack of business travel compared to pre Covid.
They have to adjust to the changing times.
