Yes well as you predicted there are some refund shenanigans going on. I don't know whether this is PAL or the OTA JustFly. When I made the call to cancel the £200 charge became 325MYR (£55). Then the agent decided that was £325 rather than MYR. After I pushed back it became £300, then £250. It was eventually charged as 300USD (£240). This is charged separately to the refund which turns out to be £1,041 instead of the £1,093 I paid. It seems like they are just making things up as they go along. I might have to give Amex a call once the refund hits my account and they can sort out any discrepancy.
